Lake Louise Ski Area, Alberta: April 6 – 9, 2011

Canada~Snowboard is excited to welcome riders from across the country and around the world to the Canada~Snowboard 2011 World Snowboard Federation (WSF) Para-Snowboard World Cups at Lake Louise Ski Area in Alberta.  The event will feature two slingshot Para-Snowboard cross World Cups from April 6 – 9, 2011. The event is being hosted by Evolve SSX Club and Canada~Snowboard.

~EVENT DETAILS~

TRAVEL:
  • Closest airport is Calgary International Airport (YYC)
  • All athletes are responsible for their own travel from the airport to the Lake Louise Ski Area
  • The Lake Louise Inn, our host hotel, has a shuttle to and from the resort that runs continuously throughout the day

ENTRIES:
All athlete entries are due by Tuesday, March 15 with a deposit of $200 CDN to secure their spot.
Payments are made through the on-line system: www.canadasnowboard.ca/tour and select the Para-Snowboard World Cups page to access the on-line system.  Paypal will issue you a receipt. 

REGISTRATION FEES:

Registration fees are $400 CDN per rider and $360 CDN per coach/team leader and include the following: Accommodation, Lift Tickets, Breakfast and Dinner, and Entry Fee. For more information please see the attached Event Notice.

To access the on-line registration form, go to: www.canadasnowboard.ca/tour, select the event that you want to compete at from the home page and click on the “Register for this Event” link, and follow the directions from there.  On-Line Registration for this event closes on Monday, March 28 at 11:59pm EST. 

There will not be any on-site registration for this event.

International Athletes (Outside of Canada):

In order to confirm your registration, the Event Organizers need to receive written confirmation from your National Snowboard Association (NSA) or recognized WSF authorized organization that you are in good standing, prior to your arrival at the event.  The confirmation letter can be submitted by e-mail to: candicedrouin@gmail.com or sent by fax to: +1-604-648-8699.

REQUIREMENTS:

Competitors must also hold a valid WSF Para-Snowboard Race License and appropriate medical insurance.

ABOUT LAKE LOUISE SKI AREA:

With 4200 skiable acres, Lake Louise is one of the largest ski areas in North America. The unique layout allows families and groups of varying abilities to ski together; there are beginner, intermediate and expert runs down from every chair. Beginners and intermediate skiers have access to an abundance of gentle slopes and long cruising runs. Experts can explore endless chutes, glades, gullies and remote bowls in some of the Rockies' most challenging terrain.
