Vancouver rally for BC-based members of the Canadian Paralympic team

VANCOUVER (May 9, 2008) – Several BC-based members of the Canadian Paralympic team, including two-time Paralympic gold medalist Richard Peter, will join representatives from Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), the BC Paraplegic Association, BC Wheelchair Sports and the Canadian Paralympic Committee to raise awareness about the 2008 Paralympic Games and to share the excitement with our local Vancouver athletes as they prepare and train for Beijing. Guests will have the chance to meet athletes and show their support by signing a banner wishing them good luck on the road to Beijing, China. The banner will hang in the Athlete’s Village in Beijing.

 

The Beijing Paralympic Games run from Sept. 6-17 in China.
