Sledge Hockey Bronze Medal Game Featuring Canada vs. Norway Added to Broadcast Schedule

VANCOUVER (March 19, 2010) – With Canada’s 3-1 loss to Japan yesterday in the sledge hockey semifinals at the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium announced that it has added the sledge hockey bronze medal game to its broadcast schedule, ensuring Canadians can watch the national team as they battle for a spot on the podium.

The bronze medal game will air live today (Friday, March 19) at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET in English on Rogers Sportsnet Pacific and East and in French on RDS.  Digital subscribers throughout the country are also able to access the Sportsnet feeds.

The sledge hockey gold medal game featuring Japan vs. USA will air live tomorrow (Saturday, March 20) at 12 noon PT / 3 p.m. ET on CTV and RIS Info Sports.

Throughout the Games, the Consortium has produced and televised the Opening Ceremony, a daily 90-minute highlights show and full sledge hockey games from beginning to end, and will also air the Closing Ceremony on Sunday evening.  In all, the Consortium has delivered a record 65 hours of coverage from the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, far surpassing previous commitments by any other Canadian broadcaster.
