Selection of Canada’s Swim teams for London takes place in Montreal, QC

MONTREAL – For Canadian swimmers, the big test for making Canada’s Olympic and Paralympic teams will happen in Montreal, QC from March 27-April 1st at the Olympic Park Sports Complex.

Today, tickets go on sale for this spectacular event where many swimmers will realize their dreams of representing the country at the World’s largest sport event, as well as inspire the many Canadians witnessing their achievements in the pool.

“The Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Trials is the biggest  swimming event in the country, and we’re so excited to host it once again in Montreal,” said Pierre Lafontaine, CEO and National Coach for Swimming Canada.

“Our staff and volunteers are working around the clock to guarantee that the venue will be an optimal competition environment for our athletes and provide an amazing show for our spectators.”

The stakes are high for Canadian swimmers as Canada’s swim trials will be the only chance for them to earn a berth for the London games.  Currently Canada’s top guns in the pool are hard at work putting the final touches into their 4-year preparation for the trials.
