IPC World Championship comes to an end

OTTAWA - The Canadian team is on their way home today after the IPC Athletics World Championships came to an end on Saturday in Christchurch, New Zealand. Twelve medals will return to Canada following this 6th edition of the world competition.

Officially closing the championships was Bradwell, SK’s Alexandre Dupont as he carried the Canadian flag into the stadium. Dupont made his appearance at the championships in the T54 200, 400, and 800-metres and was a member of the 4x400-metre relay team that captured the bronze medal.
