Edmonton,
AB’s Megan Wright won the women’s 5000-metres at the BU Valentine Invitational
in Boston, Massachusetts over the weekend. The win came in a new Canadian indoor
record (pending ratification) time of 15:25.15. Guelph, ON’s Megan Brown
finished second in a personal best time of 15:42.58. The Canadian record
previously stood at 15:37.02, a record Kathy Butler established in 1997.
