OTTAWA – Aug. 23, 2011 – August 29 marks “One Year to Go”
until the London 2012 Paralympic Summer Games. In anticipation, the Canadian
Paralympic Committee invites Canadians to begin following and celebrating their
Canadian Paralympic Team by entering our “One Year to Go” contest for the
chance to win one of five London 2012 prize packs!
With the historic Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games in the record books, Canada’s summer sport athletes are gearing up for gold and are training hard on the road to the London 2012 Paralympic Summer Games. In just over a year, August 29 to September 9, 2012, London will welcome the world for one of the most anticipated Summer Games.
The Canadian Paralympic Committee’s “One Year to Go” contest runs August 23 to September 8, International Paralympic Day. A random draw for prizes, including official London 2012 Paralympic clothing, souvenirs and mascots, will be conducted on September 9, 2011.
HOW TO ENTER:
- Visit www.facebook.com/CDNParalympics, from August 23, 2011 to September 8, 2011, and become a fan of the page,
- Watch the three-minute London 2012 promo video for Team Canada, and
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the entry form. Once the entry form is completed, click “Submit” and you will be automatically entered into the contest. Fans are eligible to enter once a day, every day of the contest, and can share with friends on Facebook or Twitter to earn an additional contest entry.
