ADAPTIVE ROWING WEEKEND

Rowing British Columbia is excited to host a weekend of adaptive rowing and coach education. As part of Rowing BC’s commitment to developing adaptive rowing in BC, athletes and coaches are invited to join us for a weekend of individualized hands-on instruction and on-the-water activities. The weekend is scheduled for May 7 and 8 at the John M.S. Lecky UBC Boathouse in Richmond.

The weekend will focus on practical training and coaching, with an emphasis on boat and ergometer work. The coaching staff will be led by Jeff Dunbrack, Lead Coach of the Rowing Canada Aviron Adaptive National Rowing Program. The weekend is not exclusively targeted to competitive rowing; substantial resources will be dedicated to recreational adaptive rowing and getting new athletes and coaches started. This experience is designed for everyone….novices, current rowers, High Performance athletes from other sports, and coaches of all levels.

The UBC Boathouse is fully accessible, and boats will be available for all classes of adaptive rowing.
