Canada has won its first medal in Guadalajara and it is gold! The team won two medals in the 21.6 km time trials in cycling for athletes with visual impairment this morning, with more cycling races underway at this moment.
Robbi Weldon (Thunder Bay ON) with pilot Lyne Bessette (Knowlton QC) won gold in the time trial and Daniel Chalifour (Lac-des-écorces QC) with pilot Ed Veal (Queensville ON) took the bronze.
Canada leads the medal tally among all countries at this time.
