NOTICE OF MEETING
Canadian Paralympic Committee
2011 Congress & Annual General Meeting
Dear Members,
We are pleased to announce that the Canadian Paralympic Committee will conduct their 2011 Congress and Annual General Meeting of the Members on October 21 - 22, 2011 at the Ottawa Convention Centre, Ottawa, ON.
The theme of this year’s Congress is “Teaming Up for Success” and it is with excitement and anticipation that the Canadian Paralympic Committee looks forward to discussing innovative and effective ways that we can continue to work together to increase participation in Parasport and provide optimal support for aspiring athletes to reach their Paralympic dreams. We will be providing an update on the progress of programs and activities launched in the past year as well as demonstrate the return on the investment that has been made in the Paralympic Movement to date.
The AGM will be held for the following purposes:
- to approve the minutes of the 2010 Annual General Meeting
- to receive and consider the reports of the Directors for the year 2010
- to approve new proposed By-law changes
- to receive and consider the audited financial statements of the organization for the year ended March 31, 2011
- to appoint Auditors of the organization for the ensuing year
- to elect five Directors of the organization. Details of the 2011 CPC Board of Directors Call for Nominations will be circulated to Members in a separate document.
A complete package including an agenda, reports and audited financial statements will be mailed in September, 2011. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in Ottawa in October.
